Everyone in the office keeps looking at my boots today. Our office is full of different teams, but my team is super casual and artsy, so when I wear in things like my Laurentian Chief boots, the non-artsy people stare. I still can’t decide which pair of boots wins my heart - these or my UGGS.

I need to buy a rug this weekend. That’s what my life has come to. I hate the kind of hardwood floor that’s in my apartment. It’s like squares of wood in different colours, like this. Ew. Oh, last night I painted my kitchen cabinets. They’re two different shades of purple now. Brad says they’re “artsy” - I don’t know if that’s a compliment or not…
Last weekend I was feeling so sick on Sunday, that I swore I would never drink again, yet here I am all super excited to party Saturday night for Brad’s best friends Birthday. Weee. Maybe next weekend I’ll try not to party.

The first snow fall of the year in Toronto always means that the TTC is slow, GO Trains are delayed or cancelled and the roads are just a mess. I’m actually dreading leaving work today, since I know it’s probably going to take double the time it usually does to get home.
I went to Brad’s hockey game last night and staied over there, so poor Beastly is probably starving right now. She’s probably panicing from not having any food this morning. What a beast. The game was good though. The guys won even though they were missing a bunch of guys. I’ve become a puck bunny - someone help me! Lol. (Kidding, darling.)
Tonight, I want to finish unpacking everything and get all of my clothes put away. I thought I had a lot more room to store clothing that I do - or maybe I just have a lot more clothes than I remember. That’s probably the case. I might go buy some orginizers actually. Dollar Store, here I come!

I’m still in the process of unpacking. I thought I hated moving in the summer, but moving in the winter when it’s cold is even worse. Thank god for my family and Brad - it made my move a lot easier. I still haven’t managed to get my bed frame together. IKEA always makes such nicely designed furniture, but some of it is such a pain to get together
Kaila, my beast of a cat, seems so much happier in this new apartment. She’s running around and purring like crazy. I am so glad I didn’t give her away a few months ago. She’s such a hilarious thing.
In other news, I have no cell phone. My PEBL died last Wednesday while I was playing games waiting for Brad’s hockey game to start. I’ve been relying on Facebook, MSN and Brad’s phone for contact to the outside world. I’m waiting on an unlock code that I bought online to come, so I can start using this RAZR that I have laying around collecting dust. Hopefully it works! I want to buy a cover for it. Maybe the D&G one. Cell phones are so over priced.
I want to go buy some canvas and make a bunch of art work for my walls. They look so bare and sad.

From my desk, if I lean back far enough in my chair and look to the right, I can see the harbour front and Lake Ontario. It’s so sunny out this afternoon and apparently much warmer out that the seasonal tempurature, yet I am stuck at my desk perparing for the launch of another new design. Not that I really mind, since lately I have really been loving my job. Yesterday I got offered a 6 month contract and even a raise. It was a great way to start off the week. Hopefully I can secure something full time after this next contract. I love everyone I work with and love coming into the office every day. It seems rare that anyone enjoys their job these days, so I really am thankful to have landed a job like this right after graduating.
In other news, I have Friday off to move! Everything is packed and ready to go. I just have a bit of laundry to finish before then. I can’t wait to get into my new place. There is a gym and pool in the building which I know I am going to get addicted to. Brad has promised to make me a workout plan too!
Anyone know of a good site that lets you upload pictures from your phone? So far the places I have found aren’t what I’m looking for. Blah.

I am so thankful that it’s Friday afternoon. I’m sitting here in my little cube of an office counting down the minutes until I can shut down this computer and hop on the train.
We’re going to see American Gangster tonight, which is apparently really good. I’m actually more excited to eat nachos and cheese. I have a terrible cheese addiction.
Tomorrow night is a celebration for my not-so-baby brother’s 22nd birthday. It should be a hilarious night. He has this recipe that he made in University that involves gin, beer and lemonade - I’m quite frightened. I’m pretty sure that Sunday will involve me being curled up on the couch watching movies.

It seems ever since Fergie started singing about being Fergalicious I have been adding “a-licious” to the end of everything. It’s highly addictive. And ridiculous - ridiculicious, if you will.
I’m in the process of looking for a new condo. It is taking forEVER to find something that I can afford in the area I want. At first I was having fun booking showings and playing real estate agent, now I am sick of seeing places that all look the same. I just want someone to move all of my things and find the place that have pictured in my head.
Which reminds me - earlier tonight I was talking about how cool it would be to have a machine that recorded your dreams as you slept. How cool would that be. I would buy one for sure. I only remember about half of my dreams and when I do they seem to obscure and, well, insane. Apparently it is good for your brain to write them down right when you wake up. I’m always too incoherent to do that first thing in the am though.
I’ll start adding content (portfolio, webcam, info, ect) tomorrow. Mmm, I missed having a blog. Amaaazzzzinnngg.
